Event Planning 101 - Planning a Barmitzvah, Batmitzvah, Wedding or Private Event.

Are you planning a Barmitzvah, Batmitzvah, Wedding or any other Private Event?

Whether you choose to use an party planner or not, below is a small guide to help you along your journey.

This is designed to help you tick all the neccesary boxes in the right order to avoid disappointment and take the stress out of planning your big day.

As soon as you've set a date for your event, we would recommend putting together a rough guest list. This is required to book a suitable venue for your number of attendees.

Once you have this, we would typically ask you what type of event you wanted, formal or informal. Some venues can give you the flexibility of switching between these closer to the date, but if you book a formal type venue and later on in the process decide you want an informal vibe, you will incur production and furniture costs, which are sometimes unexpected.

3 MAIN INGREDIENTS

Next on the list would be booking a venue, booking a suitable caterer and securing your main entertainer, whether it be a band or DJ.

This is usually the time we would discuss an approx. budget with our clients and how we would manage this to include any surprises that may arise closer to the date.

NOW THAT YOU'VE BOOKED IN THE MAIN INGREDIENTS

Send out "SAVE THE DATES" and

Relax...

You can start looking at photographers and videographers if these are important to you, or speak to friends and colleagues to see who they have booked. We would recommend going for someone that has a lot of experience in the event your planning.

capturing a Bar Mitzvah with certain traditions and 3 generations in the room can be tricky for someone who isn't familiar with these types of celebrations.
